Pat Lawlor, my favorite pinball designer, created his first game with two playfields. Two playfields? That's right! Your goal is to reach #1 in a motocross race by lighting each challenger on the lower playfield and then completing the shots on the upper playfield. The problem is, the top-most playing surface sits at almost a 90 degree angle which creates completely different ball physics and control than you would expect. And that is the Banzai Run experience. Fighting to achieve first place is great but mastering that upper playfield is extremely fulfilling. Let's not forget the captive ball shot, numerous stand-up targets, and huge flowing main ramp. Definitely a unique experience.
