PARTY STATS:
The party took place on June 7, 2008 and it was a great time. There were 77 attendees which is the BIGGEST turn-out ever.....whew! There were a lot of local people as well as collectors from all over Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh, Butler, Johnstown) as well as New York (Rochester, Albany), Ohio (Cleveland) and other out-of-town locales!
The main-event ran from 3:00 p.m. to about 2:00 a.m. 11+ straight hours of pinball!
Aside from a few ball hang-ups over the evening, and a couple "minor" repairs, everything went well and the games held-up nicely. Thanks to everyone who came, Bruce for bringing his Guns 'n Roses pinball for the garage/break-area, Michelle Brown for helping with the festivities, Megan Natalo for shooting most of the pics above, my Mom, Pat G. for pics and everyone else who helped or did something.........I know I am forgetting somebody.
It was an excellent time with some great people, tons of pinball and......let's not forget.....awesome food!I snagged some "total games played" stats on the various machines:
TAXI: 145 (not including the "one-ball" tournament plays)
DINER: 93
FISH TALES: 116
GETAWAY: 127
WHITEWATER: 136
FUNHOUSE: 111
EARTHSHAKER: 108
WHIRLWIND: 180
SAFE CRACKER: 139 (+ 6 tokens awarded)
THE ADDAMS FAMILY: 148
JOHNNY MNEMONIC: 63
THE SHADOW: 83
MEDIEVAL MADNESS: 103
NO GOOD GOFERS: 89
SCARED STIFF: 80
TERMINATOR 3: 80
BIG BANG BAR: 142
FAMILY GUY: 156
As you can see, Whirlwind was the clear winner in total number of plays. It's nice to see that an "older" game won the coveted 1st place spot (although.....the game times in that particular era are a LOT SHORTER than those of later games......plus, I think people enjoyed the fan as it got very warm later in the evening). Family Guy, The Addams Family, Big Bang Bar, and Safe Cracker were also very popular along with a strong standing from always-a-crowd favorite Taxi.
FAMILY GUY "ONGOING" TOURNAMENT WINNERS:
Al Thomka: 135,366,530
Bruce Nightingale: 78,963,500
Dan Burfield: 35,923,550
TAXI "ONE-BALL" TOURNAMENT WINNERS:
Vickie Natalo: 457,850
Pat Jones: 343,140
Tom Wager: 333,170
