PARTY STATS:

The fall pinball party took place on October 2, 2004. In all there were 52 attendees which is the second biggest turnout ever. I was surprised at the sheer number of people who arrived because I received a lot of regrets this time around. I wasn't sure if anyone would even come. Boy, was I wrong. :)

The main-event ran from 4:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. 11 hours of pinball. 1,111 total number of pinball games played (not to mention tons of non-pin attempts on Donkey Kong and Tom's Ms. Pac-Man). Whew.

Aside from a few ball hang-ups over the evening, everything went rather well. Unfortunately, White Water's right flippers went down after about twenty games. Since I had no flipper rebuild parts on hand, WW subsequently needed to be shut down (although I left it on so the topper would continue to light-up....still one of my favs). Thank goodness for the "out-of-order" sign I stole....ahem.....borrowed from Putt Putt long ago.

We had a great array of people from local collectors to local friends. Collectors came down from Michigan (MPL), Pittsburgh, PA and Butler, PA. We also had a bunch of new people and I thank them for coming. An excellent time with some great people and awesome food!

Here are the total number of games played on each machine. Keep in mind that my games are set to 5-ball play. Medium-Hard settings. Max 1-EB per ball-in-play. Also remember that game-time and ball-time does factor in (games in my arcade tend to average from 4 1/2 to 6 minutes).

1. TAXI
Total plays: 97

2. FUNHOUSE
Total plays: 55

3. CACTUS JACK'S
Total plays: 67

4. THE GETAWAY
Total plays: 71

5. THE ADDAMS FAMILY
Total plays: 83

6. FISH TALES
Total plays: 91

7. WHITE WATER
Total plays: 20 (shut down afterward)

8. DEMOLITION MAN
Total plays: 80

9. ROAD SHOW (project game but 100% working)
Total plays: 68

10. JOHNNY MNEMONIC
Total plays: 55

11. SAFE CRACKER
Total plays: 108 (12 tokens awarded)

12. SCARED STIFF
Total plays: 49

13. MEDIEVAL MADNESS
Total plays: 69

14. MONSTER BASH
Total plays: 72

15. TERMINATOR 3
Total plays: 63

16. RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Total plays: 63

Once again, Safe Cracker is the winner for total amount of plays. But, SC also exhibits almost 1/2 the gametime of most games. Fish Tales got a nice jump-start this time around with 97 total plays since it was the "novice" tournament game and good old (but short in the game-time arena) Taxi still proves that a classic is still a classic.

The tournaments were a lot of fun. We tried something different this time. Normally the "ongoing" tournaments are on games recently added to my collection. This time though we took a project pinball which I was able to get working for the party (Demolition Man) and mixed it with a non-pinball game (Donkey Kong). It was a fun change:

DEMOLITION MAN:

1st place: 2,694,360,930 - KOZ (Pinlicious)
2nd place: 2,437,157,390 - GRV (Todd "Gravitar" Seaver)
3rd place: 2,377,596,880 - XXY (Aron Boag)

DONKEY KONG:

1st place: 55,200 - GRV (Todd "Gravitar" Seaver)
2nd place: 32,500 - TMD (Thomas Dimperio)
3rd place: 30,600 - AlX (Alex Natalo)

The Fish Tales "one shot" tournament. About 20+ participants. Winners: Tom Wager (#1), Pat Devlin (#2),
and Bob Natalo (#3).
