MY STORY

My earliest recollections of playing PINBOT were at Putt Putt Golf ‘n Games. If you have read any of my other pinball stories, then you are well aware that I literally LIVED at Putt Putt here in Harborcreek, PA.

Pinbot, like High Speed before it, wrapped me into the storyline and theme. It had a somewhat “darker” tone, which really struck a cord. The simple rules of completing the chest and revealing the eye sockets for locking was something I, as a novice pinball player at the time, could comprehend easily. It made experiencing the game extremely enjoyable.

Pinbot left Putt Putt in the mid-80s to make room for other Williams classics, which also caught my eye. However, I distinctly remember its return in early 1990 as it sat side-by-side with a Funhouse. While Funhouse would remain a favorite, I still found myself pumping quarters into the former game’s coinslots.

At that time, of course, I never imagined that my pinball collection would become what it has today. Pinbot eventually graced my personal collection……
