MY GAME
This particular Pinbot was posted for sale on the rec.games.pinball newsgroup. After seeing numerous photos, I was intrigued and waned to buy it for myself. :)
My criteria for games varies depending on the machine, age and average-condition. With PINBOT, I was looking for an above-average specimen that I could work on myself and fix-up to be a nice representation, solid-playing version of the game. I have found it.
The cabinet is NOT faded, which was a plus. The front, right sides and head are in really great shape, considering the game is 21 years old. The left side is a bit rough but can easily be touched up and is overall solid.
The playfield is also really nice, however, the SUN insert has bubbled-up causing a ripping in the mylar. I will remove the mylar, replace the insert and re-install mylar after slight touchup and polishing. Again, for its age…….the playfield is in really nice shape and will clean up beautifully.
Overall, this game will clean up well and I can’t wait to dig-into it. I’m so glad to own PINBOT, one of my first pinball addictions.
